Help Support Casa Nela Employees

Casa Nela is a New York City hospitality company founded by Carlos Suarez that operates a collection of French and Italian restaurants in Greenwich Village. The restaurants include Bobo, Claudette, Rosemary's, and Roey's.
The COVID-19 outbreak has had a major impact on the hospitality industry, closing restaurants nationwide, and forcing us to temporarily lay off over 200 employees. This fraught decision was taken to ensure that our employees would have jobs to return to after this pandemic has subsided.
Casa Nela is doing all it can to assist employees during this crisis. We are covering 100% of health insurance premiums for all enrolled employees during the shutdown, and we have already opened our Casa Nela Pantry, where our employees can purchase basics like toiletries, sanitizers and groceries at wholesale prices. In spite of these measures, we know that our employees will need additional support.
We are seeking donations for the Casa Nela COVID Crisis Fund to support the most vulnerable of our colleagues. Our initial goal is to raise $100,000, which will provide $200 per week to the forty most vulnerable staff for three months. This assistance will help enable them to purchase basic necessities for themselves and their families. 100% of every donation will go to our staff.
Please join us in supporting the cooks, servers, dishwashers, bussers and runners who make our restaurants great - and who worked every day to take care of our neighbors, guests, and partners. By supporting them today, you will provide needed financial assistance during this testing time, and aid in their swift return to work.
We are doing everything we can to support our team during this national emergency, and we ask you to join us by donating to our COVID Crisis Fund.
Any donation is appreciated. Casa Nela will provide $100 gift cards for contributions of $500 or higher.
