Support Children with Learning Differences in Lebanon
Donativo protegido
My name is Rhea, I am a Lebanese girl, born in Beirut. I have been living and going to school in Switzerland since I was 3 years old; here everything is stable and accessible. It’s not the case unfortunately, in my home country.
Lebanon faces immense challenges; political and economic instability, environmental crisis and more recently, a devastating on-going war.
The war and the hardships that come with it have left communities struggling and have made it especially difficult for children. For perspective, more than half a million students are displaced (>50% of total student base). Students with learning difficulties and special needs are particularly impacted by the war. Inclusion at school is a topic that is very close to my heart. Therefore, I would like to contribute in making sure those with learning needs are not forgotten in these dire times and are still having access to quality education and needed attention.
Thimar, a Lebanese non-profit organization through its subsidiary SKILD (Smart Kids with Individual Learning Differences) is dedicated to provide individualized support and care for children with learning difficulties. SKILD works closely with public, private and displaced schools to create inclusive programs that support children with learning differences, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Your donation will help provide critical support for these initiatives, offering hope and practical solutions to Lebanese communities in need. Together, we can build a more resilient, self-sufficient Lebanon.
Join me in making a meaningful difference for kids with learning differences.
Thank you for your support!
PS: As I am a minor, the funds will go to my father’s (Jamil Abi Shdid) bank account and he will transfer to THIMAR & SKILD.
