Help support Cindy and family

People have asked about Cindy having a gofundme page but it was declined in the beginning. After 66 days and realizing the true extent of her needs, it is realized the help would be needed and appreciated. 

Cindy Whiting (formally Cindy Jones) Is a single mother to a beautiful 12 year old girl.

 She loved spending time doing girly things and going on adventures with her daughter.

 Cindy loved hanging out with her friends and lived an active, fulfilling lifestyle. 

She was a faithful, hard working employee who was amazing at her job at Family Dollar, becoming a store manager at a brand new store.

It was at this store tragedy struck.

On the morning of August 14th, 2021 an assailant went on a rampage that resulted in several people being injured and 1 death. 

Cindy hadn't been at work long before being brutally shot 6 times before fleeing. She fought hard for her life. The damage being primarily her internal organs. In the first few days she needed over 22 units of blood (and more since then), she lost her spleen, left kidney, right ovary, part of her pancreas, and over 2/3 of her intestines.  She also still has a bullet in her spinal canal  which has paralyzed her lower extremities.  Over the course of 66 days she has already had 20+ surgeries with more to come. 

That day has forever changed her  life and the lives of her loved ones. She has a long road to recovery but she has shown great desire to live her life to the fullest despite the hand she's been dealt. She is truly stronger than Titanium.  #cindystrong

Any money donated would go towards things like:

Gas and lodging, her parents visit faithfully and it is likely at some point Cindy will be moved to Atlanta for rehabilitation. She will need all the support she can get. Recovery from this type of injury is long and hard.

Due to the paralyzis of her legs: 

her home will need lots of modifications to adapt to her new way of life so she can still live as independently as possible. (Lifts, wider doors, ramps, etc)

Other equipment and modifications for herself again to help her live as independently as possible. (Won't know till down the road what she will need, but an example is having her car modified so she can use her hands to break and accelerate)
