Help support David & His Family

On Tuesday, January 5th my brother David Bateman began convulsing, suffered a cardiac arrest, and stopped breathing. His wife Carolina, on the phone with emergency services, preformed heart compressions while David began to turn blue. It took 6 minutes for the paramedics to get to the house and resuscitate him.
David awoke in shock and immediately started looking for his family. Covid-19 policies state only the patient is allowed in the ambulance and in the hospital. After going through such a traumatic experience, his brain was foggy and he tried to fight the doctors to go to his family. They placed him in a medically induced coma and required a ventilator as they were worried about the effects of lack of oxygen to his brain.
By grace of God, David has no brain damage and has completed a surgery for an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator. This is in case David suffers another cardiac arrest and his wife isn't there to preform chest compressions or call 911.
This whole thing has been a shock to the whole Bateman family, as David is only 40 years old and has been very active his whole life. David is 1 of 14 siblings. He met his wife, Carolina, when he was 18 years old, and has been married to her for more than 16 years. David and Carolina have 6 kids together, with their youngest being only about 2 years old. David is a devout Catholic and has put his faith in God to get him home to his big, wonderful family.
Anyone who knows David will say he is a very hard worker. He constantly does everything he can to provide for his family. David has worked at Costco in Torrance for over 15 years. His whole life he has resided in the South Bay, but about a month ago him and his wife bought a wonderful house in Murrieta, CA.
On top of the stress that comes with recently moving, living in a pandemic, and suffering from a medical emergency; David and his family now have to worry about the influx of medical bills and having the resources to meet their new mortgage each month, as David has to take ample time off to recover.
I've created this GoFundMe page in order to help raise donations to remove some stress and financial burden placed on the Bateman family during this most difficult time. Any donation no matter how small is greatly appreciated by everyone who knows David. If you are unable to donate at this time, please say a prayer to God for David to make a full recovery.
Thank you so much. God Bless!
