Help Support Devi through her Cancer Treatments

Hi friends and well-wishers,

My beautiful, creative, and magical daughter, Devi, was previously diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Although it was in remission, the cancer has now returned and spread aggressively to her liver and bones, including her skull. This causes her significant pain, particularly in her hip. Simply walking or bending has become increasingly painful, and her doctor has prescribed crutches to help her get around.

Needless to say, Devi’s ability to work has been severely impacted. She is barely surviving on minimal SSI income, well below the poverty level, and is finding it increasingly difficult to manage even the simplest tasks at home. As a single mom to her 17-year-old daughter, Ariana, this diagnosis has been devastating. Ariana, passionate about theater, art, and studying Japanese, is still in high school, and they both need more support than ever.

Devi urgently needs financial assistance to cover various expenses not covered by public health insurance. Her treatment plan includes radiation therapy, hormone-blocking medication, bone infusions, and possibly surgery. Beyond medical treatments, she needs supplements, massage, and help around the house to make her daily life more bearable during this difficult journey.

In addition to these medical needs, day-to-day expenses like rent, groceries, utilities, and transportation continue to add up. We're also preparing for potential out-of-pocket medical costs, with so much uncertainty around what insurance will cover. Devi has been prescribed a special diet plan by a certified herbalist and nutritionist, which also adds to the expenses, but supporting her healing is essential.

Devi is a talented artist, musician, and leatherworker with a deep love for nature. Her spirit remains vibrant, but the burden on her shoulders is immense. That’s why we need your help today.
