Help Support Diana and Richard After Eaton Canyon Fire
Donation protected
I have worked my entire life only to lose everything in moments. My name is Emere, and I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart to ask for your support on behalf of my grandparents, Diana and Richard, whose home was destroyed in the recent Eaton Canyon Palisades fire in Altadena, California. As you can imagine, this has been an incredibly difficult time for them, and any support you can offer will make a significant impact in helping them stand up again.
My grandparents are retired and live on a fixed income from Social Security. My grandmother worked for many years at a small restaurant business in Los Angeles, and my grandfather worked in a carpentry company. They have always been hardworking and independent people. My grandfather survived cancer, having battled lymphoma, and just two weeks ago, he underwent a stent procedure. In addition to their medical bills, they are now facing rising insurance costs and property taxes, which has made it difficult for them to maintain their beloved home. We never imagined that the reason they would have to leave would be because of the destruction from the fire.
The fire has taken not only their home but also their sense of safety and stability. Now, they face the enormous task of starting over at an age when most people are looking forward to peaceful retirement. Given their financial situation, they are struggling to cope with many aspects of recovery.
We hope to raise funds to help them through this tragedy and cover the unexpected expenses. Any contribution, no matter how small, will directly assist my grandparents in starting a new chapter of their lives and give them the peace of mind they deserve after all this hardship.
Thank you so much for considering this request. Your support will mean the world to my grandparents during this incredibly difficult time.
