Help First-Generation College-Driven Students
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Irina and I'm a Patrick Henry High School (PHHS) alum. I am originally from Ukraine and came to the U.S. with my parents. I had no idea how to apply to college because the U.S. college application system is so different from Ukraine. I was lucky to receive help from my PHHS teacher, Mr. Andy Mangahis, who helped with both college and financial aid applications. I'm now an alumni of San Diego State University and currently a PhD student in Sociology at University of California, Davis (UC Davis). I am an immigrant and the first in my family to go to college and now I want to help other first-generation students get to college with this scholarship.
I created the IScholar scholarship (see website here ) for racially and ethnically diverse, first-generation college-going students facing financial hardships. Whether you can give $50 or $25 to IScholar, everything dollar helps these driven students be able to afford books, lab supplies, and tuition.
PLEASE DONATE and help support of racially/ethnically diverse, first-generation college-going students facing financial hardships.
