Help support Doug Arnold and his Family
Donation protected
On Saturday July 15th while doing what he loved (playing slo-pitch with family and friends) Doug was involved in a terrible freak accident and was hit in the head with a baseball. He was knocked unconscious for several minutes.
Thankfully our first responders arrived quickly and upon assessment determined the best route of care was to air-lift him to the Trauma Centre at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. Since arriving there he has received tremendous care, and although he has already shown some improvement, his recovery is not moving along as well as expected. Doctors have recommended he remain there for a few more days, then will likely need to move to a rehab centre for several weeks of therapy.
We don't know what to expect long term, or what Doug and his family's life will look like going forward, so all we can do right now is focus on being there for all of them today, by any means possible.
As you can imagine, with that comes great expense; fuel, parking, time away from work, etc. We are reaching out to all of you for your support, to try and help ease the added financial stress to his family due to this devastating accident.
As you all know, Doug is that guy that will bust your ribs with a big bear hug, and weep like a baby when he watches chick flicks. He would give a complete stranger the shirt off his back and expect nothing in return. If ever there was a family that deserved your support, this is it. If you are unable to help financially we ask that you please send all your best wishes and prayers their way.
We will provide any updates as they come available, and thank you all in advance for your generosity and kindness.
Much Love,
The Arnolds
