Help support Ethels fight against leukeima

Think of the person you love unconditionally. Think of the person you would move mountains for and they the same. That person for us is Ethel—a mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend!

Here is her story;

For a while Ethel traveled to her family doctor looking for answers to why she felt so tired, achy body, and shortness of breath.

What she learnt was she had Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) For those who don’t know what AML is; it’s a cancer of the bone marrow and blood. It progresses rapidly without treatment. Since the day of her diagnosis, her life and her families lives changed abruptly and instantly.

Ethel was flown to St. John’s immediately to start her treatment. She has started two types of chemotherapy. One chemotherapy runs for 24 hours of the day. Which will continue for months with the possibility of further treatments being bone marrow transplants and others. As of now Ethel will be in St. John’s for at least four months.

Being so far away from home and for such an extended time, is hard on everyone. Especially for Ethel and family.

We are hoping that by raising money on her behalf. It will be one less thing, she has to worry about. Right now we want her only concerns being on getting better, beating this, and coming back home!

With your support and generous donations all Monies will help with transportation to and from St. John’s (which is a 10 hour drive), accommodations and meals; for Ethel’s husband (Jackie), daughter (Jody) and Ethel’s sisters to be with her every step of the way, 24/7 for her support during Ethel’s time of need.

Any one knowing Ethel, knows she dedicated her days ensuring others are supported, loved and cared for. And now it’s time for us to return the love and support.
