Help Support Family Relief After House Fire
On the morning of Tuesday, July 6th a long-time Rafael Hernández K-8 para and beloved friend, Alice Aviles, was evacuated from their house due to a devastating attic fire. Thankfully all four residents and their dog got out safely. However, in combination with heavy rains the fire not only burned everything in the attic, but caused massive flooding throughout the entire unit, leaving most of the family’s belongings damaged and irreparable. The family is now in the midst of seeking alternative emergency housing, but will need additional financial assistance as they begin rebuilding what they call home.
Alice has been a para at the Hernández School for decades, working tirelessly for students and families and deserves to have her community come out to support. All funds raised will go directly to her family to provide immediate relief for items lost, relocation, and rebuilding their lives.
Any donations are very much appreciated and please help by sharing this page with others! Thank you in advance for helping support our beloved friend!
