Help Support Francesco’s Cafe During Difficult Times

Francesco’s Cafe is a family-owned restaurant located in Rancho Mirage, CA. The owners, Jose and Maria, have always dreamed about opening a beautiful Italian and Persian restaurant in the Coachella Valley. With their hard work and love for cooking, Francesco’s Cafe blossomed and has been successful for 16 years. The food served is Italian and Persian cuisine, which includes a wide variety of pasta, pizzas, seafood, salads, sandwiches, and much more. Their passion is to prepare delicious and fresh meals with great quality and care.

Unfortunately, however, unforeseen circumstances took place. Earlier this year, Jose, Maria’s husband, had a severe stroke that left him unable to work. Due to this, Maria and her daughter have been operating the business by themselves for the past 4 months. It has been a very difficult adjustment for the family. With Jose’s condition, the restaurant hours had to change, in addition to it being a low season during the summer months.

Along with that drastic change, on July 22, 2024, an unexpected kitchen fire was started by the deep fryer, which caused major damage. The kitchen has a number of smoke and fire damages, and the dining room has water damage. Due to this, Francesco’s Cafe will need to be temporarily closed in order to repair the numerous damages. Kitchen equipment, walls, floors, roof panels, and hoods in the kitchen will need replacement including deep cleaning.

It has been a whirlwind of tragic events in the last few months, but with your help, Francesco’s Cafe can be saved and reopened. They hope to continue gathering the community together and bringing joy, one meal at a time. Thank you for your love and support.
