Help Support GG's Care and Recovery

Hi, my name is Stephanie, and I’m one of the thousands of East Hills School graduates who have crossed paths with our beloved crossing guard, Anita “GG” Conrow. Not only did GG safely cross me on Round Hill Road as a child, but for the past 9 years, she has also been my neighbor and a part of my family. My daughter and I feel incredibly lucky to have her in our lives.

GG is a remarkable woman—approaching her 101st birthday in just a few months. Up until now, she lived a healthy, independent life. Recently, she suffered her first medical issue: a stroke. At almost 101, recovery is going to be a challenging journey, and GG, who has always been prepared for a long and vibrant life, now finds herself in need of significant support to navigate this next chapter.

The financial burden of her recovery is something that healthcare alone cannot cover. GG’s loving and devoted granddaughter, Anita (yes, they are both Anita), has been by her side, taking care of her full-time. Anita, a seasoned nurse supervisor, is doing everything she can to provide for GG. She has taken a sabbatical from her job to care for her grandmother, but eventually, Anita will need to return to work.

That’s where we need your help.

All donations will go directly to covering the costs of GG's medical care, treatments, and other necessary services not covered by insurance. This includes daily care, medical supplies, therapy, and anything else that will help ensure GG's recovery and comfort in this difficult time.
