Help Support GOTR at Cowell Elementary

Girls on the Run is hosting its first season at Cowell Elementary! GOTR is a running club for girls in 3rd - 5th grade, emphasizing building social-emotional skills. Throughout the season, girls will train for a 5k race and work together on lessons focusing on decision making, optimism, friendship and emotions. Our volunteer coaches are excited to bring this opportunity to Cowell as limited youth recreation options are accessible to Villa Park neighborhood residents.

Cowell Elementary girls received a scholarship to participate in the program, but we are looking to cover the cost entirely. Currently, we have 13 girls registered for our program, so our goal is $260. If we can exceed this goal, we will use extra funds for snacks for each practice, reusable water bottles, and running clothing/shoes, which girls may need to participate in.
