Greg Fincher was in a horrific car accident on Sunday, February 12th. He is currently in the hospital at JPS in Ft. Worth. His back is dislocate, he had bleeding in his chest with several fractured ribs. They placed a tube in his chest to drain the blood and will need surgery on his back. Both knees were broken in the accident and will need surgery on at least one if not both. For now he is paralyzed from the waist down but he has a lot of swelling and we are hopeful that will change over the coming days as the swelling decreases.
As of Valentines, February 14th, they are leaving him still as much as possible to allow his aorta and kidney to heal on their own. That is the doctor's primary concern now. He gets his chest tubes out tomorrow as the chest bleeding has stopped. He got his first meal today and was able to eat a little. He goes for an MRI tomorrow and then will have surgery on his spine on Thursday. He is very swollen and still can't move his legs but is getting small sensations in one of his feet. They won't even begin to work on the broken bones for about 2 weeks. They are waiting for the swelling to go down before they even assess his legs. He will also have a CT scan tomorrow for his abdomen and head.
Greg has a long road to recovery and is progressing slowly. This means lots of trips to the hospital for Alexa and Landon which means additional expenses not to mention the co-pays and deductibles for the medical expenses so lets all pull together and donate to give them some peace of mind and allow them to focus on Greg's recovery and not paying the bills!
