Help Support Halfway House: An Epic Tale of Redemption

Help Fund “Halfway House” - A Epic Film on Self-Actualization, Redemption and Human Connection

In a chaotic, post-pandemic world where jobs are scarce and lives upended, Halfway House follows Boon, a young apprentice hero, as he’s drawn into the tumultuous orbit of Valentine, an enigmatic antihero. Together with a cast of down-and-out misfits, they navigate a landscape of lost dreams and rediscovered purpose. Lessons in ethics, values, and self-actualization come to life as each character confronts their flaws, driven by a quest for redemption in a world that’s lost its way. It’s a modern epic of brokenness, resilience, and transformation, where heroes aren’t born—they’re forged.

I am raising funds to organize an LLC, create trademarks, copywrite and build out a website to support the film.

The Backstory - My Story:

This film is a culmination of experiences and stories I have collected over the years. Life is 99% work and 1% inspiration. The people I meet are my inspiration and this project is a way for me to give back and inspire those seeking to live in the 1%.

During the pandemic, I returned to school to pursue a degree at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, ultimately graduating Cum Laude with a BSc. My previous studies in economics and philosophy laid the groundwork for this story, blending analytical rigor with a broader understanding of human behavior.

Seven years ago, I left my property management job in Minnesota and moved to California. I felt a growing disconnect between my values and my work—handling the same issues for the same people, day after day. Deep down, I knew my purpose was to give back in a more meaningful way.

California opened doors I did not anticipate. I found myself immersed in a community that celebrates humanity in its rawest forms, where passion, inspiration, strength, ingenuity, and relentless hard work shape each person’s journey toward self-actualization. Out of this experience came my first creative project: a YouTube channel called Stories from the Bay. This was a first step in my own self-discovery.

Like so many, my plans were derailed by the pandemic. In 2020, I was displaced from my home in San Francisco and drawn into deeper, more intimate relationships with those around me. This led me to a part of myself I had not yet known and became the foundation for a story I feel compelled to tell.

By some twist of fate, I’ve managed to steer clear of jail, serious injury, and the confines of a mental ward. Yet, amidst the chaos, I found myself drawn deeper into this unpredictable and strangely alluring world, becoming captivated by a lifestyle that, despite its madness, had a certain pull.

As the exit lights fade, I know I need a bridge between these two worlds—a Halfway House.

A month ago, I started writing a seemingly disparate series of scenes based on true stories told to me over the last couple of years. A few days later, while getting out of the shower the scenes coalesced; a story emerged through the steamy haze.

I know it‘s risky, capturing the stories of people who might fiercely defend their worlds—but these stories are also mine. They’ve transformed me into someone who, without hesitation, would go to war for what they love.

Currently, I’m dedicating every waking hour to a compelling story and script: a film titled Halfway House, exploring themes of self-actualization, redemption, and the search for meaning in chaotic lives.

With your support, I will incorporate a company, build a website and a social media presence where donors can follow the creative process—from script developments to production updates. I want this to be more than a film; I want it to be a shared experience that resonates with our collective humanity.

To bring this story to life, I’m seeking funding for the first stages of production. With your immediate support, I will incorporate a company work on copy write, trademark and NDA’s to begin the process of making this film a reality. I hope this will be more than just a film; I want it to be a shared experience that reflects our collective humanity.

Thank you for considering a contribution to Halfway House. Your support will be the foundation for a project that aims to touch lives and inspire transformation.
