Help support Helena’s Family During Their crisis

Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters, I’m reaching out on behalf of my sister, Helena, who is currently facing a critical health crisis while 7 months pregnant. She has been diagnosed with endocarditis, a severe infection of the heart valve, which has now caused complications, leading to kidney function damage. As a result, her hospital stay has been extended, and her path to recovery remains uncertain. Helena’s husband, Jacob, has been doing his best to care for their young children while also managing the immense strain of Helena’s condition. He has had to miss several days of work, making it difficult to keep up with their financial obligations. I did my best to help by staying with the children for a time, but due to my own school commitments, I have since returned home. The situation has become dire. Jacob recently had no choice but to bring their youngest daughter to work, and he was forced to leave early. Their income has been significantly impacted, and they are now falling behind on rent and struggling to afford groceries and other essentials. In this time of great need, I am asking for your help. Any contribution you can make will directly support Helena’s family by covering: - Overdue rent, ensuring they can remain in their home. - Groceries and daily necessities for their children. - Alleviating some of the financial stress so they can focus on Helena’s recovery and the upcoming birth of their child. Update :  Helena has recently returned home and is currently receiving daily antibiotic infusions via a PICC line. Her husband, Jacob, has started a new job and is unable to assist during the day with their daughter, Emmaree. Unfortunately, Helena's insurance does not cover additional in-home care. The combination of her ongoing medical treatment and the challenges of pregnancy are significantly affecting her ability to manage household responsibilities and provide adequate care for her child. As a result, Helena is seeking external support to help her navigate this difficult.
