Help Support Jeff's Kidney Cancer Battle

I don’t know how to even start this. It is difficult to even create this page, to admit that we don’t have all this figured out financially. But life happens and even though it has been a difficult year for us, the hardest factor is watching Jeff struggle with everything going on with his health compounded by financial stress. Unfortunately, like millions of other Americans, Jeff doesn't have insurance being a self-employed business man.
For those reading this that don’t directly know, Jeff is my husband. We have been together for 15 years and met at Champps Sports Bar in Addison, TX while waiting tables. We have three beautiful daughters (pictured above with us), our twin girls Kylie and Caitlin and my stepdaughter Melanie. He is a playground Dad and loves his girls with all of his heart. He is a Wedding DJ in the DFW Metroplex, and he is passionate about every single couple whose wedding he has/will DJ for. He truly loves them and wants them to have the best wedding day ever. Needless to say, he is our rock and we are so lucky to have him!
I think the best place to start is the beginning. In January (2019) Jeff complained of having shoulder pains in his right shoulder. Since he was a smoker, he decided it was best to have a CT of his lungs to make sure that nothing suspicious was going on. Fortunately, the chest CT came back “unremarkable”, but the radiologist noted the accidental find of a mass on the left adrenal gland. This discovery was the beginning of everything. On February 13th, 2019, Jeff received the difficult news that he had cancer. A follow up CT of his abdomen revealed that there was a lesion on his right kidney identified as renal cell carcinoma, two swollen lymph nodes in his lungs and the previously identified mass on his adrenal gland. Over the last 5-6 months, his visits with several specialists at UT Southwestern have resulted in a consensus that the right kidney metastasized to the left adrenal gland, and possibly the lungs since there are 4 new swollen lymph nodes. The next step will be a partial nephrectomy of the right kidney and complete removal of the left adrenal gland within the next few months. This has been a difficult process but we are hopeful that Jeff will soon be added to my work insurance. Unfortunately, due to the expense of medical bills over the past months, we have depleted our bank accounts and maxed out our credit cards. With everything going on we are asking for help with Jeff’s Go Fund me page. If you are not able to contribute financially, please consider sharing this with anyone who might know Jeff or be willing to help him beat cancer. We can also use continual prayers. We appreciate the simple fact that you are taking time to read this and have us in your thoughts. With the money, we will be paying for the next round of doctor visits, tests, and treatments including surgery and insurance deductibles.
He shared with me that his only wish is to live long enough to see all 3 of his daughters get married so he doesn't have to worry about their well-being. He is constantly worried about how he will provide for us, and this is the only way I know how to help his wish become reality.
Please share this with your friends, family, and anyone who might know Jeff or be able to help. Even if you can't help, then let your engaged friends know about his DJ business, so he can raise money by providing DJ services. The busier he is, then the less help is needed.
