Leo's battle against sepsis!

Donation protected
Leo, born on 21/09/2016. A bright, fun, loving, beautiful boy.

Leo entered this world with A birth defect of the heart called Dextro- Transposition of the great arteries, he was born with no spleen and was later diagnosed with Cerebral palsy. Leo’s medical conditions meant that he would face many obstacles in life and through every obstacle he faced he most definitely fought and conquered them like A hero.

In Leo’s four years of life so far, he has faced 2 open-heart surgeries and 1 bowel surgery. These surgeries are massive but for little Leo having his mum Jemma next to his bed before and after surgery and through the recovery process brightened up his day. Leo and Jemma have an undeniable mother and son bond and no matter where Jemma goes, Leo is always alongside her.

Leo is well known for his beaming smile by all who know him, even if he falls over, he gets straight back up with A smile on his face and carries on, nothing or nobody can defeat him, or so we thought.

Leo suddenly started to feel ill leading up to the 16/03/2021 where he suddenly experienced A seizure (fit). It was unknown at the time by medical professionals what caused this, but Jemma and the rest of Leo’s family would quickly come to realise that shortly after things would take A turn for the worse.

18/03/2021- Today Leo had A Cardiac Arrest. Leo experienced severe breathing difficulties at home and whilst waiting to be seen by medical professionals in hospital he suffered A Cardiac Arrest,  urgent CPR was performed and whilst medical professionals worked on his little body for over an hour to get even the faintest pulse from him, it finally worked but Jemma was informed that Leo’s chance of survival was low.

QUESTIONS, QUESTIONS, QUESTIONS!!!!

The answer to all the questions is Sepsis.

Sepsis has left Leo in A critical condition and he is now fighting more than he ever has before to save his own life.

Leo is 4 years old!

UPDATE ON LEO!

21/03/2021- Today, our world as A family was turned upside down. Our little, beautiful, brave, strong Leo gained his wings. Leo fought with sepsis till the very end but now he is at peace, Jemma has lost not only her best friend but her baby boy and needs this time to grieve for her little fighter. Leo’s beaming smile, beautiful laugh, contagious personality, and big blue eyes will be sorely missed not just by family and friends but mostly by the woman who lost her everything, Jemma. Rest In Peace our beautiful Leo Luke Dennis. 21/09/2016- 21/03/2021 <3.

On behalf of myself and Jemma & Leo’s family members I have set up this page to ask for donations to help support Jemma through the traumatic events that have already unfolded and the long journey she now faces ahead of her without having her little boy by her side. All donations will contribute towards funeral expenses and further support that Jemma will need in the present and coming future.

On behalf of all Jemma & Leo’s family we would like to thank everyone who took the time to read this & to all those who donate, we really appreciate it and please as you share or donate please keep Jemma and Leo in your hearts & thoughts <3.
