Help Support Jen and Cecilia's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Update April 2021:
Jen had a successful double lung transplant on March 29th, which happens to also be her birthday. What a beautiful gift of life she was given! We are beyond thankful and continue to pray for the donor, their family and Jen as she continues through a brutal and long recovery. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for contributing to this fundraiser and we can't wait to surprise her (so please do not share on social media) with this collaborative gift. Cecilia is doing great - getting bigger everyday! We can't wait until Jen is home again and the family can be together. There is a long road ahead but with her wonderful friends and family - she will get there and we are with her every step of the way!
February 2021:
I have started this campaign to help my dear sister and her beautiful family. As you may or may not know, Jen started with COVID-19 symptoms in late January. After a few days of not feeling better, she sought further medical treatment. She quickly required hospitalization however her case was more difficult given she was 33 weeks pregnant. The decision was made to deliver the baby - a premature but healthy baby girl. Baby Cecilia is now out of the NICU and is doing great at home. Unfortunately, Jen's condition worsened and she continues to fight this terrible virus in the ICU.
Anyone who knows Jen knows she is a beautiful person inside and out. She is a devoted wife, daughter, sister, special education teacher and above all mother. She would do anything for anyone and now she needs our help!
So much of the future is unknown but we can help alleviate some of the financial strain. Jen's home care, missed work for Jen and Sean plus mounting medical bills for two dear ICU patients and you can see why we need you!
ANY amount would be so appreciated and I promise you even $1 will be put to good use. Please also respect her privacy by NOT sharing this on social media. It is simply a place for dear family and friends who have asked how to help. If you have a physical donation of some sort, I'd be happy to do a contactless pickup, just let me know by sending a message through this post. Thank you in advance and please continue to pray for this sweet family!
