Help Support Joe & Rebecca Dunham

Today I am reaching out to my family and friends as well as the family and friends of my cousin Rebecca Dunham and her husband Joe Dunham for financial support.  On April 18th  Joe was was seen by his work place nurse for exhaustion and fluttering in his chest. The nurse advised him to go to the doctor as soon as he could because he was in A-fib.  He proceeded to go to the doctor and they treated him with blood thinners. In the days that followed Joe had severe headaches and returned to the doctor. They discovered that he had a brain aneurysm and was life flighted to the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.  He was at UIHC for approximately a week and things were looking good. He was moved back to the hospital in Ames for recovery therapy.   Therapy was progressing well until last Monday when he started to have a regression in his cognitive abilities. They believe that Joe may have had a stroke and was once again sent back to UIHC.  Joe's cognitive functioning was significantly impaired when they arrived at UIHC. Currently Joe and Rebecca are at UIHC and they have no idea when Joe will be well enough to leave. 

They've both been off work now for 2 weeks now. Because of Joe's cognitive impairment Rebecca must be with him to answer doctors questions and make necessary decisions regarding his health care. Joe does have short term and long term disability insurance, however that money is not yet available to Rebecca to pay everyday expenses and medical bills. Rebecca has FMLA but will not be getting paid until she returns.  We don't know if or when Joe will be able to return to work. The couple desperately needs financial help not just for everyday bills but the mounting medical expenses . Please help me support this loving couple.  Many of us never expect to have a long term health care emergency.  I am asking for your financial support , prayers, good vibes, energy, etc to help Joe and Rebecca during this uncertain time.
