Hi, I am Santana Alejandrez, the daughter of Joe and Anthonette Alejandrez. After my mother passed away 12/26/22, my father has been trying to live his life as best as he can without her. This included 2 trips to Mexico last year, fulfilling the plans he and her made together before her unexpected passing. Unfortunately, on his last trip to Mexico in September, he got an ear infection, “swimmers ear”, that has since developed into Mastoiditis. He has been dealing with the many symptoms that comes with it ever since. Because of this severe infection his body can’t seem to get rid of (he is on his 3rd set of antibiotics to fight it), he has suffered many health issues since October 2023. He is suffering from Bells Palsy on the side of his face that was infected, chronic migraines, inability to speak or swallow (he is currently has a PEG tube for feeding and receiving meds), and the anxiety and depression that comes with all his medical issues. He is getting a little bit stronger every day, but he has lost a considerable amount of weight and nutrients due to his changed diet. He is seeing many specialists including an infectious disease dr., ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat Specialist), GI Dr., and cardiologist, and also his Internist. His medical bills are starting to pile up on him, and I don’t want him stressed about whether or not he is able to pay. My dad is a strong man, and I’ve never really seen him sick, let alone this sick, my whole entire life. There is light at the end of the tunnel, but he has a long road of recovery, we don’t know how long the tunnel is. Any help would be appreciated, by me and my siblings, but mostly my dad. My dad is a strong man, he is a good man, he is an amazing grandfather to 10 grandchildren who would like to see him get better as well.
