Support John Sabina & Family in Lung Cancer Battle
8 months ago, my father John was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic inoperable lung cancer. As an extremely healthy 62-year-old father of 3 and grandfather of two who never smoked, the news sent shockwaves through our family and friends. He has led his life as a very religious, incredibly hard-working, and selfless man, who always put his family first. We, unfortunately, learned that because of the progression and type of cancer, his only treatment option was traditional chemotherapy, which has recently been ruled ineffective at stopping the growth and spread.
Last week, we discovered the lung cancer has spread to other parts of his body, rendering him in the hospital immobile and no longer able to work, although he has worked full-time up until now, never retiring. The uncertainty with his now rapidly declining condition has required his loving wife of 36 years (a teacher assistant) to care for him full-time, unable to work in a school environment due to the dangers of covid and other illnesses my father could contract while in her care.
Any help offered would assist in installing the expensive, but much needed medical equipment in our home, to best care for my father and make him as comfortable as possible during the fight of his life. We sincerely thank you for your generosity and ask for your prayers and positive, healing energy.
