Hello Everyone. It is time to update the GoFundMe.
First off, thank you so much to everyone who has contributed already to Julie's care fund. Your generosity has made a world of difference in Julie's life and has really helped her with the extra medical and life expenses that her cancer has brought upon her. Your support has been so necessary in helping her to focus on the work of moving past this disease and healing her body and soul.
Unfortunately there is still more that is needed. When the doctors removed her right breast, we all had hoped that that would be the end of it and no further treatment would be needed. But it wasn't the end. When the doctors examined the two lymph nodes that they also removed, they found more cancer cells; an indication that there is still cancer living in her body. In order to to eradicate the cancer and give her the best chance for not having a relapse, they prescribed four rounds of chemotherapy, followed by radiation and hormone treatment. The prognosis still remains for a full recovery, but the road is going to be longer than we originally thought.
And along with all of that, of course there are more expenses. So far, with the generous help of her friends, she has been able to cover most of it, but there is still $2400 of outstanding medical bills that need to be paid. It is sad that it has come to this, but once again we must reach out to our community for help. If we can all dig just a little deeper, we can make it possible for her to put these expenses behind her and give her the breathing room to focus on what is important; healing.
So many of you have already given so much, and for this we are eternally grateful. But if we can give just a little bit more, if we can find a way to raise this last amount and get over this last hump, It would make a world of difference. Please help. Thank you. With love and gratitude, Joe.
