Help Support Kade and his Family at this Trying time
Donation protected
On Saturday night (1 February 2025), our lives changed in an instant.
Kade, 20 years old (turning 21 in two weeks), our fiercely loved son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend, was involved in a serious car accident near Millmerran, Queensland. Kade sustained critical head and chest injuries in the accident and was airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane (PA), where he remains in an induced coma.
The ICU medical team surrounding Kade at the PA are working tirelessly to help care for Kade, however, the full extent of his head injuries are not yet known. While Kade’s strength and resilience will shine through and Kade’s family remain hopeful, ICU doctors have indicated that Kade's recovery and rehabilitation will extend for many months – Kade faces a long and difficult journey to recovery.
Kade’s family are maintaining a constant presence at his bedside, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to support his through this uncertain and challenging journey. The emotional and financial strain of supporting Kade’s recovery, along with long-term medical care and therapy expenses, is undoubtedly overwhelming and the added burden of travel and accommodation costs for Kade’s family member makes it even more challenging.
This GoFundMe is set up to help provide support for Kade and his family during this extremely emotional and challenging time. All contributions will go toward:
• medical expenses;
• rehabilitation and physical therapy;
• support for Kade’s family, including travel, accommodation and lost income as they take time to care and support Kade;
• day-to-day needs as they adjust to life after this tragic event;
• modifications to Kade’s home and medical equipment, if needed.
This unexpected tragedy has shaken Kade’s family and Kade’s community.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will help ease the financial burden on Kade and his family so they can focus on what matters most: being there for Kade, supporting his recovery journey and helping him to heal and thrive.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for taking the time to read Kade's story. If you are able to contribute, share this page or simply keep Kade in your thoughts and prayers, we are grateful for your support during this extremely difficult time.
