Hello all- I have been experiencing some health challenges following a thyroid cancer diagnosis this past fall and surgery in December, 2022. I will be having additional surgery or surgeries to address more malignancies at the Mayo Clinic this spring.

Due to leave of absence from work and not yet being eligible for FMLA for paid short-term disability through my employer, I am struggling to pay my financial expenses.

I am asking for your financial help in any amount available to you to share. No donation is too small. I am requesting funds to help cover expenses for rent, car payments, food, gas and medical bills that are accumulating over and above my insurance coverages.

It is so important that Karen has the ability and time to recover from cancer, and to be well for the long term- to keep having a full life, being an insightful and dedicated friend, a supportive parent and a creative powerful caretaking force in our community.

Until we have improved access to full medical care, health experiences that are already emotionally and physically difficult can alter the course of our financial lives. Karen is doing everything possible to create well-being in the midst of a complex medical situation but without financial support the stress is potent and counter to immediate and long-term healing.
