Help support Kevin and Laura after tragic accident.

Thursday May 9th Laura received one of the worst phone calls of her life that Kevin had been involved in a motorcycle accident on his way to work. Unfortunately he broke his spine and severed his spinal cord leaving him permanently paralyzed from the waist down. He is also suffering from internal bleeding and a shoulder injury that they have not yet addressed. Kevin has been in the ICU awaiting surgery to repair part of his spinal cord so he will be able to at least sit in the future. Kevin was able to have his surgery late last night and though they were successful in fusing his spine together they did confirm their worst fear that he will sadly never walk again. As you can imagine this unexpected and devastating to their family.

If you know Kevin you know he spent years rehabilitating himself from previous spine injuries and other various surgeries. Kevin had been previously disabled but fought hard and was able to return back to work 5 years ago and had just received a promotion to senior engineer. Kevin will be out of work for months to come with a long road ahead of them with possible more surgeries, hospital stays, medical bills, rehab (which they plan to send him out of state for) hotel stays, medical supplies as well as making accommodations to their home to be wheelchair accessible . Laura who is self employed will also be out of work for the foreseeable future to care for her loving husband.

Kevins Wife and kids are his world. I have put this together in hopes to alleviate some of the stress that comes from a tragic accident such as this financially so he can focus on healing and getting home to his family.

Anything helps and I know they are so thankful for everyone who has been there for them through this.
