Help Support Ky Burns!
Donation protected
On Saturday 31 August 2024, in our Major Semi Final for Rugby Union, Co-captain Ky Burns of the U18 Terrigal Trojans Rugby Union clashed knees with an opposition player. He continued playing, not knowing the damage he had done. He came off, and went for scans that night. It was not what he was expecting. His knee cap had been split in half and he had numerous fractures throughout his knee area. He was immediately booked in for surgery to have it repaired. His knee has been wired, screwed and bolted back together.
The bad news is, Ky now faces a long road to recovery. He is off work for a minimum of 3 months, which means he has no income coming in. As Ky faces the long road to recovery, there is an opportunity for the Rugby Community to come together to help support him.
Ky’s passion for rugby, and his Terrigal Trojans, coupled with his unyielding spirit, has made him a beloved member of the U18 Trojan team.
In the wake of Ky’s injury, he is confronted with numerous challenges, including immediate loss of income, medical expenses and rehabilitation costs.
How the Funds Will Be Used:
• Immediate Loss of Income: Providing financial support to cover ky’s living expenses during his recovery period.
• Medical Expenses: Covering hospital bills, ongoing treatments, and specialist consultations.
• Rehabilitation: Funding physical therapy and occupational therapy sessions to maximise his recovery potential.
Thank you for your generosity and support. Together, we can make a real difference to Ky.
With Thanks
