On Thursday, January 9th, Lauren Saldana, 38, was tragically and senselessly taken from this world, leaving behind a family shattered by grief. Her murder has left a hole in all of our hearts.

She leaves behind 4 beautiful children, M(19), G(16), G(5), and A(3 weeks), who now face a future without their mother. As we navigate this painful time, we want to ensure her children are supported and cared for, just as she would have wanted.

This tragedy is made even more painful and brutal by the fact that Lauren was 3 weeks postpartum and her 5-year-old son witnessed her murder. He is now faced with trauma no child should ever have to endure. His sister is fighting to gain custody of him to ensure he has the stability, care, and love he needs to begin healing.

Lauren faced many challenges in her life, but one thing was clear: she loved her children in the best way she knew how and wanted them to have more out of life than she did.

Lauren was a person. She was a mother, a daughter, a sister, a niece, a cousin, a grandchild, and a friend. She did not deserve for her life to be taken in such a heinous and disgusting way.

We are asking for your support to honor her memory and help her children navigate the incredibly difficult road ahead. The funds raised will go directly toward:

-Funeral and memorial expenses, so we can honor Lauren with the dignity she deserves

-Immediate needs for her children, including housing, food, clothing, and emotional support

-Funds to help (M) secure custody of her brother, giving him the safety and stability he desperately needs

-Any outstanding balance will be divided equally between the four children and placed into trusts for them to have as they age. Long-term care and stability for her kids.
