Dearest friends and community,

 

In the early evening on Friday 17th December the unimaginable happened. A beautiful young man with his life ahead of him was taken by the ocean. There are no words that can even begin to describe this tragedy which is still unfolding.

 

The loss of Alane, recently arrived in Australia from Cameroon and reunited with his father, Leo, is heartbreaking. To loose a child is something that no parent should ever have to endure, yet here we are. A horrific moment that has shaken us all within the community.

 

Now is the time to come together and embrace this family who’s loss is compounded by the fact that they must go through this at Christmas.. It is the collective love and support of our community that will help them cope with this unexpected and devastating situation. Your contribution will go directly to Kylie and Leo.
We are trying to raise enough money to bring family members across from overseas and cover the cost of the funeral and their needs while they find the strength to overcome this singularly tragic situation.
