Help Support MacKenzie

MacKenzie is 25 years old and has just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. It started with a trip to the ER for what she thought was appendicitis. After a CT scan was performed, the surgeon came in and told her that she had a large mass on her ovary that was concerning for cancer. She had surgery yesterday to remove the mass, her ovary, and the tube on that side, and was hit with the news that the mass on her ovary is cancerous. As if that weren’t devastating enough, she was also told that she will have to have a second surgery to have a hysterectomy performed because the cancer has likely spread to the other ovary. 

MacKenzie is from Bushnell, IL but currently lives in Peoria and is a nurse at Unity Point Hospital.  She has spent years caring for others at numerous jobs as a CNA at nursing homes andhospitals and now as a RN and she is so caring and compassionate to her patients! Now she needs help! She will be off work until at least December, potentially longer if she has to have chemotherapy or radiation!

The funds from this GoFundMe will given to MacKenzie to help with deductibles, medical expenses, and bills as she is off work for at least 2-3 months. Thanks in advance for helping out one of the most special people in my life!!!
