Help support Madi in her Recovery

Hello everyone and thank you for your prayers and supportive messages in this time. On Wednesday night, my little sister Madison was in a catastrophic car accident that’s left her in critical condition. She was unstable and then after a hard night of fighting for her life is in a stable yet fragile condition. She has broken her femur in two spots; right down the middle, and then shattered in the socket of her pelvis. She also has shattered her knee as well as fractured all the ribs on her left side as she has broken her jaw on both sides, fractured her pelvis, fractured her sternum, fractured her spine just under her brainstem, she has bleeding in her spleen and minor bleeding in her brain and has also broken her arm. She has been, and is still being placed in a sedated coma in the ICU. We know as of yesterday she has some forms of brain activity but won’t know fully anything until she’s more stable to wake up. It has being a terrifying experience she thank goodness has been stable since that first night, but continually being monitored at the Hospital. She had her first surgery two days ago. Our family haven’t been getting much sleep or eating or anything because we’ve been awake for days at a time just being with her and it’s been wild. She had her first surgery, which was to work on her mid femur break and her knee. They also worked on and fixed her arm break during this operation and it went well. Soon my sister will go for her pelvic socket surgery but first today or tomorrow she is getting double jaw surgery and will have her mouth wired shut for weeks. Yesterday due to complications with needing breathing support and spine support she received a tracheotomy. They said that’ll make it easier for her to breathe without panicking while having her face wired shut. but also it was too tricky to have a tube go in there with needing to sew her jaw completely shut. She lost a couple teeth and also had a laceration to her abdomen. 11 cop cars blocking the road two ambulances and two fire trucks my husband and myself made it to the scene and saw a sight I will not soon forget. The cops, crew and medical staff say it’s a miracle she’s even alive with how bad it was and they themselves don’t even understand but I know we serve an amazing God who makes miracles happen.
It’s a long journey ahead with many more surgeries to come and a very long recovery. Madi will not be able to care for herself or even begin to walk for at least 3 months. Any support, prayers and messages means more than we can begin to put into words.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to hear my sisters story and learning about her battle. If you feel you want to contribute to helping her in this time thank you, and if you can’t help financially and can pray thank you. We truly appreciate all of you.
We are praying for strength for our family to not only get through this together but to be the best support for Madi to lift her up and help her heal.
