Help Support Madison on Her Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On October 29th, our beautiful Madison Grace was involved in a horrific car accident in Phoenix, Arizona, that left her in critical condition. The injuries she sustained were severe, and her recovery will be long, challenging, and will require extensive medical care and rehabilitation.
Madison is a beautiful ray of sunshine to all that know her. She is kind, witty, determined and most importantly loving. She has a gentle soul who easily made everyone feel like a friend with her silly sense of humor and kindness. She graduated from High School in 2023 and was just beginning her sophomore year at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Accident:
On the night of the accident, Madison was the passenger in a friend’s car that was hit by a suspected drunk driver. She was rushed to St. Joesph’s hospital and was immediately taken to emergency surgery due to what first responders determined were life threatening injuries. She suffered two brain bleeds, a dissected carotid artery and a fractured pelvis. The wonderful doctors and staff at St Josephs saved her life that night, which is a debt we could never repay. She underwent surgery to remove part of her skull to allow for the brain to swell, as well as a second surgery to put a shunt in her brain to drain the excess fluid and allow for healing to begin. She spent 14 days in the Neuro-ICU at St. Joes fighting for her life.
She is strong and continues to make progress every single day and for that we are grateful. The long term damage to her brain is unknown but her physical recovery will likely include months of inpatient rehab to learn to walk, talk and all the other basics we often take for granted.
How You Can Help:
We are asking for your support during this incredibly difficult time. Her family lives in CT & RI and has been traveling back and forth to ensure that someone is there with her at all times, as well as with her two younger sisters still attending high school in CT. This has taken an enormous financial toll on her family, on top of an already unimaginable emotional toll. Your generous donation will help cover the costs of:
Emergency medical care, surgeries, and treatments Hospital stays, rehabilitation, and physical therapy Transportation to eventually get Madison home when she is strong enough.
Travel expenses to allow her Mom & Dad to be with her at all times while she recovers.
We are so grateful for the outpouring of support already shown by family, friends, and her school community. Please continue to keep Maddie in your thoughts and prayers!
Let’s rally around Maddie and her family and show them that they are not alone. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
With gratitude,
