As most of you may already know, I was fortunate enough to volunteer in Mwanza Tanzania in 2009 and 2013. I am grateful and excited to have the opportunity to return in January 2020.
While all of the children I met at the orphanage captured my heart, one little girl in particular named Maggie filled a permanent spot.
Sadly, in an all too common situation in Africa, Maggie's mother passed during childbirth, leaving her family with no alternative but to place her in Forever Angels baby home until she was old enough to eat solid foods.
This is where I first met my cheeky little monkey, Maggie! She immediately grabbed my attention with her spunky personality and stole my heart.
I was amazed and inspired by the professionals that run the home. Their amazing team of "mamas" work so hard together with the common goal of reuniting these children with their families when possible.
I have been committed to funding Maggie's education since 2013.
My goal is to raise $5,000 towards Maggie's education fees and for a monetary gift to the home, to present on my upcoming visit.
No amount is too small and every donation will be greatly appreciated. I cannot describe how much of an impact your support will make!
