What were you doing when you were 26 years old?
Unfortunately, this beautiful, young family has been hit hard by life, and the matriarch of the Warren family is faced with an aggressive stage III cancer…. at the young age of 26 years old.
Maggii and Ryan walked down the aisle just over a year and a half ago, Maggii carrying their precious baby boy, Michael, with her. Their love is brand new and blossoming and they build the life and family they’ve always dreamed of. They’ve moved into their first home together, Ryan is on the verge of finishing diesel mechanics school and pursuing the career he’s most passionate about, while Maggii has been fortunate enough to be a stay at home mother to Michael and also pursuing her masters degree in social work. Life was moving in the direction we all wish for, when horribly their world came to a crashing halt.
Maggii has cancer. Polyps have grown in her body by the thousand, requiring immediate chemotherapy treatment. Just weeks after her diagnosis, her port has been put in, and we all know what it means when the doctors begin moving this quickly….
although Maggii wants it to be known she refuses to give up and fight hard for her health, education and future. The road ahead is filled with physically and emotionally taxing days, months, and years. She will be receiving three different types of chemo, each equaling six to eight rounds, followed by radiation, then numerous surgeries. After Maggii BEATS THE CANCER, Her life will still forever be changed. Maggii will be unable to have children after treatment. Maggii will not only have the physical affects, but the emotional toll this will take on a young mother is immeasurable. The fear of worst case scenarios is inevitable. Not only does she, but her son too, have their entire lives ahead of them. This is where our family, friends, and community come in. Ensuring this family does not have to worry about expenses and debts is one way to help ease the burden. We are utilizing every resource this great community has and now we are asking our neighbors for donations too. Any financial contribution would mean the world to this family. Soon, we will ask for help with meals (meal-train), help with fundraising events (planned spaghetti feed & auction soon), and just help spreading the word of this sweet family's dire need.
We know that times are difficult for many families, and financial contributions are not always an option. We will need help organizing, hosting, and running the fundraiser and auction. We will need desserts or other items to auction as well, so if you’re capable to donate your time in that fashion, we would be forever grateful for the help.
As always, the showering of love and support is the most needed. We want to keep Maggii’s hope and spirits high and mighty, ready to beat cancer. As her tribe, we have to fight for the quality of her life ahead, and it starts with unwavering optimism. So, please if anything, leave a positive comment below. We read them all.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for any support you are able to offer.
