Help support medical and legal fees to get justice

Hi my names Matt Langsford, I'm 32 years old and live in social housing which despite extensive works still has black mould and other defects.

On 31 October 2023, after months of illness, I suffered a collapsed lung due to pneumonia and spent 5 days in hospital. The attending specialist went through the possible causes and suggested that the black mould in the property was a significant contributer to my injuries, advising me not to return home when discharged.

Due to being in social housing, I had to return to the property. Within 3 hours I went into septic shock and collapsed upon arrival to A&E with severe sepsis and spent a significant time in resus then 6 days further in the hospital. Doctors strongly advised me not return home due to the ongoing mould as it again was highly likely I would become critically ill again. I have now seen my GP 14 times and been in hospital for a total of 14 days as a result of mould exposure.

After another batch of works, unfortunately mould still remains and my health is deteriorating once again as a result of the exposure.

I have began court action to seek damages and also have the property repaired to prevent further harm.

I've been told this will be very expensive to run and need an initial £5000 as a priority to help fund a Barrister and medical reports, that will also be used to get the relevant treatment to enable a recovery.

Despite numerous requests to the NHS for specialist consultants, they have to focus on my accute illness being presented.

I've been told varying things about my projected recovery but without things improving I've been told by one law firm they expect I'd keel over before the claim would be settled, because of this, they are unable to fund the case.

At the moment I'm on my own here, and desperately need professional legal help to enable justice to be done.

Any help and support in my fight for returning to good health and justice would be gratefully appreciated.
