Help Support Melissa (Mei Mei) During Recovery

As many of you know, Melissa (Mei Mei) was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. Melissa has been a huge impact on raising money for others her entire life. Most recently she was an All Star for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) for all the years of fundraising she has done for the organization. She celebrated her 50th birthday with a fundraiser for LLS, raising more than $12,000 in 3 hours and more than $57,000 in 10 weeks. She has also delivered more than 600 meals to area hospitals for patients and caregivers over the last two years. These are just a few examples of how she chooses to support others. It's now clear Melissa needs us to support her. Melissa was able to work while receiving chemotherapy and keep her shop open. However, on October 11th, Melissa undergoes her first of 3 or 4 surgeries, a bilateral mastectomy. This surgery will require her to close her shop for 6-8 weeks, as will each subsequent surgery. Unfortunately, the shop is Melissa's only source of income which she uses to pay for both shop and personal expenses like rent, utilities, and the like. Melissa is a huge impact on the community, always supporting fundraisers, social events, business leaders, and local business growth. It's now time we come together to support her.
