Help support Mia's fight for her life in ICU
Donation protected
I am trying to keep my dog daughter, Mia, alive. This is a very urgent situation.
A couple of weeks ago, she was given several vaccines. She was temporarily paralyzed from them and since then, she has progressively become more and more ill.
After going to the vet several times, I was told she needs to go to the hospital immediately as her condition was worsening. At the hospital, they kept her for a few days due to her condition and her blood work indicating her red blood cells were falling.
They eventually diagnosed her with immune mediated hemolytic anemia, which is when a vaccine causes a dog's immune system to attack their red blood cells. She is now in ICU due to the critically low blood cell count and has to receive blood transfusions.
The hospital is doing everything they can for her but it is very expensive. I am on disability and I don't have a lot of income to keep up with the high costs that have been incurred and the future costs that will be added as they try to get her through this.
She is my world. She's been there through all my sicknesses and I've always been there for her.
We just need a little bit of help right now. I am kind of embarrassed to ask but any help would mean a lot to her and I right now. She is fighting for her life in ICU and if we could get some support, it would mean a lot to us.
