Hey everybody I want to share this…It’s something very personal and hard to talk about.
You all know me but mom is 83 years old and a pancreatic cancer survivor of 5 years. As tough as that sounds…She has been able to live an independent life in her little home in Columbia, SC until a couple months ago. Now she has been moved to the memory ward of an assisted living facility for the elderly. Needless to say this is burning up her modest savings at a rapid pace. She soon will have nothing and will need to go into the care of the state which means she will be placed in the first bed available away from loved ones and visitors.
She has an incredible life force that she passed on to me. Orphaned at a young age then put into loveless foster care as a young adult. She began working as an admin assistant as soon as she could and then became a working mom. She always towed the line and was able to live a modest life with modest savings.
My wish is to keep her where she is so her remaining time here can be as good as it can be with visits of loved ones. Please help me do this by contributing to this gofundme campaign?
