so it’s time. it’s time to do what is often the hardest thing. ask for help.

it’s funny. as we sit and write this together… the same way we do everything, we keep coming back to a singular point in our perspective that makes this so difficult. we started these businesses based solely on the belief that the core of hospitality is simply to give. that give is different for every person we interact with. maybe you’ve eaten the pastrami at brown bag or bought our yogurt at the farmers market. if you’ve purchased one of our products at a central market and have never met us, we hope that our philosophy remains evident. it is our goal to give you a moment of pure enjoyment that helps you stare at the rest of your day a little more easily. to be something you could count on as you moved forward through all the uncertainty.

and now here we are asking. please understand this isn’t easy…

i don’t need to explain the hardships of the last 24 months as we’ve all experienced them in our own ways. we hope you know we’ve tried, both as milk and patience and brown bag provisions, to be a point of difference… these businesses have never been just businesses. they are quite literally the story of our lives. if you’ve been with us from the beginning, you’ve likely met emi at the farmers market… or watched Hudson “overseeing” service at brown bag. if you’ve purchased our products anywhere, you’ve met us… as everything we do is still done 100% by hand… more importantly by our hands.

this ask is to help us continue to grow. to continue to provide the products that you have come to believe in. our ask is in hopes that you will help to allow us the privilege of continuing to be a point of difference in your lives.
