Help Support my Family After The Loss of my Father
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jose Aracena. I’m 18 years old and live in Corona, Queens. On Saturday March 28th, my father tested positive for COVID-19. My whole family was devastated when they sent him home from the hospital. Since there isn’t a cure, most people will recover at home if their immune system is strong enough. My father was strong for a 65 year old man. He stayed in his room isolated in order to recover and tried sleeping to get better. Unfortunately, he could only survive this battle for three nights. When my family and I woke up on Tuesday morning he was on the floor, not breathing. We tried CPR but it was too late. In that moment, we knew we had lost our role model. My father was a helpful person who loved to see people smile. He was like a Santa Clause to every little kid who didn’t have a parent. He gave gifts to those children who didn’t have anything on the holidays. These past few days have been the hardest of my families lives. My father had five children. Me: 18 years old. Ian: 17 years old. Orland: 13 years old. Liam: 8 years old. Dylan: 3 years old. My mother is now a single mother struggling to support the five of us. For this reason, we will be needing to move back to Miami, Florida. We want to start a new life with our family because New York City is too expensive for my mother to continue raising the five of us. I am asking for your donations to help make this possible and help us move on from this awful tragedy. This money will be going to my mother so we can make this travel home possible. She will also use this money to get our new life started, being able to purchase items for our new home in Florida. Thank you all so much for the support and prayers. We appreciate everyone.
