Easing Financial Strain for Dawn's Family

edit to update: my beautiful mother is no longer earthbound. her soul was called home for eternal peace. Her absence leaves a void in our hearts. we will forever carry her spirit with us.
My family’s world was turned upside down on January 7, when we first discovered that my mom had cancer. Just a few weeks later, on her birthday, January 24, we learned that it was stage 4 colon cancer, already spread to distant parts of her body. The doctors gave her a prognosis of 2-4 months. In the face of this devastating news, my mom made the decision not to pursue chemotherapy or radiation. Instead, she chose to follow her own holistic care routine, hoping to find peace and comfort in her final days. Now, she is receiving hospice care at home, and we are focusing on supporting her through this journey.
My dad, Joe, has always worked hard to support their family. He’s now struggling to manage the mounting financial burdens, especially as my mom can no longer contribute. He had his own battle, only two years ago, with stage 3 hodgkin's lymphoma, and was left with medical bills he’s still paying.
My parent’s have been married for 26 years, together a total of 36. They have four children, and six grandkids. My dad’s been by her side since day one. He's taken off almost two months of work so he can be at home to help each day. The stress of the upcoming months bills is building, so im asking for help so my dad can continue to be there for her.
My mom, Dawn, is an incredible woman with a heart of gold. She has always had a deep love for the outdoors—whether it was spending time at the beach, in the woods mushroom hunting, or enjoying a pontoon ride on the lake. Her kindness knew no bounds; she’d always go out of her way to help anyone in need, even a stranger. She broke a generational cycle of alcoholism and has proudly celebrated 5 years of sobriety, proving time and again what a warrior she is. Her strength, generosity, and love has touched so many lives.
Any help during this time would mean the world to my whole family, as we work to support my mom, and ease the financial strain on my dad.
