Who this will help

Hi my name is Kim and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my sister, Jessica and my nephew, Brandon.

Why I'm fundraising

The purpose and importance this fundraiser is to help lessen the financial burden of a long road to recovery for my sister and nephew, along with her other 4 children. On January 2nd (Brandon’s 17th birthday, ironically) my sister experienced a medical emergency behind the wheel, which lead her to pass out and crash into a tree with my nephew inside the vehicle. Neither of them remember much of the crash, except that out of all the cars that passed by, a Good Samaritan (whom we would like to locate and thank), stopped in the nick of time to pull both my sister and my nephew from the vehicle that had begun to catch fire. To whomever that person was, our family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts for being their saving grace.

This accident happened off of Hwy 42 in/near Stockbridge, Georgia.

As a result of the crash, both my sister and nephew suffer broken legs, arms, hands, and ankles, broken ribs, cuts on the lungs, and facial damage. They have undergone several surgeries and will continue to reside in the hospital until further notice.

We are thankful to God that they are both still with us! They will need a lot of mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual care.

Please keep them lifted in your thoughts and prayers, as it will take a village to see them through this.

The impact of your support

The funds collected for this fundraiser will go directly to my sister and nephew for their medical, equipment, transportation, and other needs. Any support, especially uplifting prayers will make all of the difference for our family! Thank you in advance!

Today is not the day I die

As I lay in this hospital bed, I cry

In so much pain

Mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual strain

Asking God, “Why”

Why did this happen to me?

But then I begin to see

That God still has a plan for me

So He could not let death be

Because despite my broken shape

God didn’t take me away

He said, “my child, listen to what I say

Today is not the way

You will be okay”

Simply because,

Today, was not the day I die!
