Help Support My Study Abroad to Pembroke College (Oxford)!

Hi! My name is Dana and I'm a rising Junior in college. I was recently admitted into the Pembroke College Visiting Student Program (which is at Oxford University!), where I will spend an academic year in the UK learning English Literature.

Only 30 students are selected across a handful of colleges and universities to visit every year, so this is a huge opportunity that I do not want to pass up! However, going abroad under such a rigorous learning enviornment will not be easy. That is why I am reaching out to ask for the generous help of anyone willing.

The $8,000 might seem like a lot for a goal. I know I'd probably be asking why so much, which is completely understandable. So, here it is!

What will your monetary support go towards? Well, while there is quite a lot that my school will cover, there is quite a bit that doesn't. This includes Visa costs, airfare, meal costs, club costs, and overall life in and out of term! I will not be able to bring much to the UK, which means I have to make most of my purchases of need overseas. On the surface, that doesn't sound so bad, but I will be unable to work while overseas, which means I have to account for every single thing I might encounter before I leave.

I will also be working as much as I can over the summer and will be saving up whatever I make for the trip, but it will not be enough for my entire duration at Pembroke. That is why I am reaching out for extra support. Any and every amount helps. Going abroad is an incredible opportunity that will allow me to learn so much about the very thing I love - literature.
