Help Support Nick's Family In Their Time of Need
Donation protected
As a close friend of both, Rose Staff and Nick Azidis, I have set up this campaign to raise much needed funds, in light of Nick’s tragic, sudden death, by cardiac arrest, last Sunday morning.
Rose lost her husband and creative collaborator that day, and Felix and George lost their beloved father. I know like myself, many others have been grieving, his death, he touched many people’s lives as he was a compassionate, creative individual and part of a large community of artists in Melbourne. Nick was a pioneer of projection art and new media installations, in Australia, that inspired many, and his work spanned three decades.
On Sunday morning, Nick’s body was taken from Strawberry Fields Festival to Wollongong, for a post-mortem, and then finally back to Albury. Unfortunately, his unexpected passing has led to serious financial issues for both Rose and his immediate family. Nick did not leave a Will.
The cost of bringing Nick’s body back home, to Melbourne, where he can be mourned by his family and the community, along with funeral services and other business expenses, is an immediate financial burden, difficult to meet right now. Nick’s parents are also elderly, fragile and unwell and may not be able sustain the loss of their son.
Your love and prayers and any kind of donation you can give, would be greatly appreciated by Rose and Nick’s family at this time.
