Help support Orla to study at New York University

I’m creating this gofundme to ask for your support in achieving a dream I’ve had for over 6 years.

My name is Orla Long, I am an Irish based Costume Designer for theatre with a BA in Drama Studies from Trinity College Dublin. Since graduating in 2014, I have gained extensive experience working in costume in the leading houses of Irish Theatre.

This year I received an offer of a place at New York University to study a three year MFA program in Costume Design at the world renowned Tisch School of the Arts, starting this September 2019.

For anyone who knows me, this has been my dream for years. This masters program provides impeccable training, opening countless doors for me to collaborate with world renowned theatre practitioners

NYU has offered me a partial scholarship. This scholarship will only pay for half of my tuition fees. This leaves me with $30,000 worth of fees to pay each year. 

I can’t reach this target by myself, so I’m doing something very out of character and asking for help.

There’s strength in numbers. If you can support me in any way to achieve this I will never be able to thank you enough. Please give what you can, tell whoever will listen and share with anyone who might be interested.
