Support our NICU stay for our baby boy

Hello, My name is Hayley Cogswell. I am currently 26 weeks 3 days pregnant with my 3rd baby. On June 25th 2024 my water ruptured/ broke releasing 3 different gushes of amniotic fluid at separate times. I called my OB and they had me come in for testing, during the testing they confirmed that I had a (PPROM) Preterm Premature Rupture Of Membranes along with unknown onset of labor. I was told that I would not be going home and I would spend the remainder of my pregnancy at the hospital until I have our baby which could happen soon if the following things happen such as: I get an infection or if I start to go into active labor. They have been doing antibiotics to hopefully hold off any infections as well as a steroid to help strengthen babies lungs in case they are born early. The goal is 34 weeks which still puts us earlier than we had hoped with a long stay in the NICU afterwards. God forbid something happens sooner they would take the baby before 34 weeks along with delivering before 34 weeks they would give me magnesium to help with the development of babies brain which will still result in a long stay at the NICU as well. Currently I’m waiting to speak to the NICU team and see what their plan is as well. The father of my kids is our only provider right now for our family and we image this stay is going to very long and stressful and money consuming. He plans to try to keep working but everything is so in the air right now it could change at any point. Along with working he is also taking care of our 4 other kids that we have at home we have some help with watching the kids while he works from my sister in law and my mother and a couple other people when they can. We are not the type to ask for help when things are tough but with gas, food, bills for when he’s off work, etc this seems like a very hard struggle for our family financially. Even if you don’t have the means to donate to help our family a simple share goes a long way and it would be greatly appreciated. I will keep giving updates on our situation and our story along the way. Everything and everyone is very much appreciated during our time of need.
