Help Support Our Friend and Injured Teammate Ally

The Pewaukee Lake Water Ski Club is organizing this Fundraiser on behalf of Ally Sinitz and the entire Sinitz Family.

The Sinitz Family has faced some serious challenges in the last month. On July 30th Ally (16) and her family were camping with their Pewaukee Lake Waterski teammates after putting on a waterski show in Green Lake. While there a tree fell in the campsite scattering the group. Ally was unable to get out of the way and was struck in the head, knocking her unconscious. She was taken by helicopter to UW Madison's trauma center. Ally suffered multiple skull fractures, several areas of bleeding on the brain and a C-1 neck fracture. She was treated in the pediatric ICU and later by the neurosurgery team in Madison. Ally is now home in Pewaukee where she is recovering. She is receiving ongoing care with multiple specialists and doing therapy at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

Ally’s injury happened just 10 days after her father, John Sinitz, suffered an open, compound fracture of his right ulna with a dislocation of his radius in a water-skiing accident on Okauchee Lake. John’s injuries required a hospitalization and two separate surgeries with the placement of metal plates and screws. John is also at home recovering and receiving ongoing therapy.

As you can imagine, Ally’s family is facing some significant out-of-pocket medical expenses. We are starting this fundraiser to help off-set some of those costs. Please consider contributing. Your generosity will significantly impact Ally and her family as they navigate this difficult time.
