Our beloved Golden Eagle balloon crew have come upon desperate times. We have 69 amazing crew members who are facing unemployment for the foreseeable future.
After the shutdown of tourism in Myanmar during Covid-19, and now the military coup that is further threatening their livelihood, we are asking our friends and world-wide ballooning family to help us support them over the coming months.
The crew support our pilots every day with their enthusiasm and amazing work ethic, always going above and beyond the call of duty. We would like to return their support, to assist them in caring for their families over this difficult time.
Golden Eagle management have provided incredible support to our crew over the last year, however are now needing our help to keep our guys safe.
Our goal is to provide our 69 crew members and their families with 2 months additional pay in order to get through these tough times. We have worked closely with Golden Eagle and will split the goal of $10,000 USD ($13,000 AUD) equally amongst the 69 crew.
We understand it's been a tough year for everyone, however please consider what the reality is for our Myanmar balloon family, who not only rely on tourism, but are now faced with the political turmoil that is happening in their country.
