Help Support Our Honor Guard
Tax deductible
The Bucks County Firefighter and EMS Memorial Honor Guard provides ceremonial support and equipment for memorial services and funerals for first responders in Bucks County, PA as well as throughout Eastern Pennsylvania and the Mid Atlantic Area. The honor guard also provides supportive programs and after care for the families of fallen first responders. The honor guard also works with military honor guard personnel to ensure that military honors are also given to those first responders who have served the nation both in the military as well as a first responder serving their community.
Donations will be used to purchase the following:
- Up to 100 casket internment Flags at a cost of $70 each or $7,000
- Flags representing the five branches of the military along with flag poles and carriers at a total cost of $1,600.
- 100 pairs of white gloves costing $800.
- 30 large umbrellas for graveside use costing $900.
- Remaining funds will be used to purchase uniforms for 5 new team members.
The services our honor guard provides not only help the families of fallen first responders, but also the effected fire departments and emergency medical service agencies their loved ones served with. The honor guard provides support for both first responders that have died in the line-of-duty as well as from natural causes after a lifetime of service to their communities.
The need for our support and available equipment is rapidly increasing.
Last year the honor guard assisted with 13 funerals and memorial services, while this year that number has increased to over 30 so far. Your donation will allow us to continually cover expenses associated with responding to the increasing future needs of first responders and their families.
We are a 501c(3) non-profit organization listed on GuideStar earning a Bronze Seal of Transparency, EIN 82-2754853, so your donation is tax deductible.
