Help Support Philly Theater Legend Susan Wefel
Donation protected
Our Names are Ari Baker and Sammy Hurley. We are past members of the Hedgerow Theater Company. Our dear friend and former colleague Susan Wefel is at a huge turning point in her life and career.
Susie has been a living legend in the Philadelphia Area Theater community for decades. She came to live and work at Hedgerow Theatre right after college in 1978 and has been living in the Farmhouse of the theater property for 45 years while acting, directing, teaching, supporting the fellowship program, cooking, cleaning, building and everything in between.
After years of dedicated service, Susie is in a position of instability. There have been big changes at the theater over the last decade and while the facts of the story are not mine to tell, Susie needs our help.
For the first time, Susie will be leaving her home at the Hedgerow Farmhouse. This is a life altering event for her and we’d like to raise money to support a fund for Susie to help reduce stress and give her a cushion for what comes next. More than anything we want Susie to be somewhere safe and comfortable with the love and kindness of her friends, fans, family, and the amazing Philadelphia Theatre Community supporting her.
Please consider donating to support an amazing, kind, loving, talent friend and actress in her time of need.
Thank you.
